the electrical safety of Machinery, Medical Devices, IT Equipment, Laboratory
Test & Measurement Equipment, complete systems and assemblies as well
as most other types of equipment in most jurisdictions throughout the

approval (Field Labeling) of the equipment. TÜV performs on-site
field assessment evaluations to NFPA, UL, ANSI and CSA requirements.

TÜV engineers
will provide on-site evaluation of your equipment, covering areas such
as component and construction evaluation as well as basic safety testing
to required standards.
Benefits of partnering
with TÜV America
In selecting a partner for evaluating your equipment you have a choice.
By using the right third-party evaluator, manufacturers can dramatically
improve the marketability of their products and reduce their overall liability
by insuring compliance with proper standards. And most importantly, manufacturers
can gain equipment approval by local AHJ inspectors and compliance to
OSHA requirements for listing and labeling of equipment. For equipment
used in Canada, TÜV can also help you meet CEC (Canadian Electric
Code) requirements and SCC requirements as well as ESA (Electrical Safety
Authority - comparable with AHJ in USA) requirements for certification
and field evaluation of equipment.
In addition, TÜV
experts will review and highlight potential hazard areas during evaluation
that can lead to improved safety of your product. Through proper evaluation
and due diligence, manufacturers can safeguard their company from possible
litigation.
Turnaround Time
TÜV offers next-day service for even the most time-sensitive project.
Upon evaluation, if an inspected unit complies, a TÜV America label
can be affixed to the product before the end of the day, with a detailed
report issued in three business days. If a product does not comply, the
client is briefed on noncompliance issues that same day, and a detailed
report outlining noncompliance issues is issued within three business
days.
